What is Perlite Plaster Gypsum?
Perlite plaster gypsum is a type of plaster that contains expanded perlite aggregate, is lightweight, breathable, and has insulating properties. It is especially preferred for interior walls in residential and commercial buildings.
Perlite Plaster Gypsum Application Stages
1. Surface Preparation
- The application surface must be clean
- Dust, oil, and loose particles must be completely removed
- The surface should be moistened if necessary
2. Mortar Preparation
- Water is placed into a clean container
- The product is gradually added to the water
- It is mixed with a low-speed mixer
- A homogeneous and lump-free consistency must be achieved
3. Application
- The prepared mortar is applied to the surface with a trowel
- It should be applied in layers of 1 – 1.5 cm thickness
- The surface is leveled with a gauge (screed bar)
4. Smoothing and Finishing (Polishing)
- The surface is smoothed after the initial set
- A second coat is applied if necessary
- The final coat is polished (troweled) to make the surface smooth
