Agricultural Perlite
AGRICULTURAL PERLITE
Natural and Sterile Solution for Soilless Agriculture and Plant Cultivation
Agricultural perlite is a natural and sterile growing medium obtained by classifying expanded perlite into specific grain sizes, used for soilless farming, greenhouse cultivation, and seedling production.
Thanks to its porous structure, it ensures the ideal air-water balance in the root zone, accelerates plant growth, and increases yield.
What is Agricultural Perlite?
Perlite is a natural mineral of volcanic origin. By being expanded at high temperatures, it is transformed into a structure that is lightweight, porous, and has a high water-holding capacity.
Agricultural perlite:
- Is sterile (contains no diseases)
- Has a neutral pH value (6.5 – 7.5)
- Provides high water and air permeability
Advantages
- 🌱 Ensures rapid root development
- 💧 High water-holding capacity (up to 9 times its weight)
- 🌬️ Increases soil aeration
- 🚫 Contains no weeds or diseases
- 🧪 Does not cause salinity or alkalinity problems
- ⚖️ Lightweight, easy to transport and apply
- ♻️ Reusable
- 🌍 Suitable for organic farming
